StackBloc — data that reads like a card.

Seven built-in templates turn SharePoint list data into stacked field-value displays, card galleries, expandable sections, and more.

Overview

StackBloc takes data from a SharePoint list and renders it in a structured, readable layout instead of a spreadsheet grid. Choose from seven built-in templates — store hours, key-value pairs, single cards, card galleries, expandable sections, tables, and fully custom layouts.

Content authors manage data in a familiar SharePoint list while StackBloc handles the presentation. Filtering by static values, query string parameters, or URL path segments lets you show different data on different pages from the same list.

For advanced customization, StackBloc supports Handlebars templating with 10+ built-in helpers. A no-code 4-page property pane wizard guides admins through setup — no developer involvement needed for common configurations.

We built StackBloc because we kept getting the same request: 'Can we show this list data without it looking like a spreadsheet?' Store hours, office directories, service catalogs — same problem, different data. Seven templates later, site owners handle it themselves.

We use StackBloc on over 40 pages — everything from our office directory to the IT service catalog. The URL-based filtering is brilliant: one list, one web part config exported across pages, and each page shows the right data automatically.

What does StackBloc do?
StackBloc reads data from a SharePoint list and displays it in structured, readable layouts — cards, key-value pairs, expandable sections, tables, or fully custom Handlebars templates. It turns list data into something that looks intentional, not like a spreadsheet.
How does deployment work?
StackBloc ships as a .sppkg package. Upload it to your tenant app catalog and add the web part to any modern page. The 4-page property pane wizard guides you through connecting to a list and choosing a template.
What can I configure?
List source, template, columns to display, filter rules (static, query string, URL path), grouping column, sort order, item limit, and Handlebars custom templates. All settings are in the property pane wizard and can be exported as JSON.
Who is it for?
Site owners who need to present list data in a polished format without custom development. Common use cases include store hours, office directories, service catalogs, FAQ pages, and any scenario where a list view doesn't cut it visually.
How does it compare to the built-in list web part?
The OOTB List web part shows a spreadsheet-style grid. StackBloc offers 7 visual templates, Handlebars customization, grouped layouts, and context-based filtering — turning raw list data into designed content blocks.
